SoleGym for Android

Privacy Policy

Effective 1 August 2026 · SoleGym is developed by Kyle Fieg ("we", "the developer").

The short version: everything you record in SoleGym stays on your phone. The app has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no access to the internet. We never see, receive, collect, or share your data.

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to the SoleGym Android app ("the app"). It explains what information the app stores, where that information lives, and what happens to it. It exists to satisfy Google Play's requirement that every app publish a privacy policy — including apps like this one that collect nothing.

2. Information the app stores — on your device only

SoleGym is a training log. To do its job, it saves what you enter into it:

All of it is stored in the app's private storage on your device. None of it is transmitted anywhere. The app does not request the Android internet permission, so it is technically incapable of sending data off your phone.

3. What we do not do

4. Device permissions and features

The app uses a small set of device features. None of them access your personal data or the network:

FeatureWhy the app uses it
NotificationsTo tell you rest is over when the screen is off.
Alarms / remindersTo fire the rest-timer alert on time, even in the background.
VibrationThe double-buzz when a rest period ends.
Keep screen awakeTo stop the screen sleeping during an active session.

5. Backups

Backups you make. The app can export your data to a backup file, but only when you ask it to. You choose where that file goes. Anything you then do with the file — storing it, moving it, sharing it — is under your control.

Backups your device makes. Depending on your device settings, Android may include app data in device-level backups (for example, Google's Android backup service). That happens outside the app, is controlled by you through your device settings, and is governed by Google's privacy policy — not this one.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your device until you remove it. You can delete individual entries inside the app, wipe everything with Settings → Reset all data, or uninstall the app — which removes all of its stored data. Because there is no account and no copy on any server, deletion is immediate and complete, apart from backup files you created yourself and any device-level backups you control.

7. A note on health-related data

Bodyweight and body measurements are health-related information. In SoleGym they are treated the same as everything else: stored only on your device, never transmitted, and never seen by the developer. The app does not connect to Health Connect or any other health platform.

8. Security

Because your data never leaves your phone, its security is your device's security. We recommend using a screen lock and device encryption (on by default on modern Android). There is no transmission, so there is nothing to intercept.

9. Children

SoleGym is not directed at children under 13. The app collects no data from anyone, children included.

10. Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR give you rights over personal data that organisations hold about you. We hold none. Every right — access, export, correction, deletion — is something you exercise directly on your own device, using the app's history, backup, and delete controls described above.

11. Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. The current version always lives at this address.
